TYPICALLY HOW LONG IS THE WAIT TIME?
It’s difficult for us to guarantee a wait time, as wait times will vary based on day of the week, time of day, patient care required, and how many patients are currently waiting to see a doctor. Our staff will do their best to keep you updated on wait times.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
Please ensure that you bring your provincial health care card and government-issued photo identification with you. If you do not have a physical healthcare card with you but you know the number, our staff will request government-issued photo identification to verify it. We do this to ensure the prevention of fraud and identity theft.
I'VE BEEN TO THIS CLINIC BEFORE. DO I STILL NEED TO PROVIDE MY HEALTHCARE CARD?
Absolutely. We must verify your identity and coverage on every visit. This is to ensure that we are dealing with the correct patient, and that your provincial coverage is still valid.
I LOST MY PROVINCIAL HEALTHCARE CARD. WHAT DO I DO?
If your Alberta Health card is lost, missing or stolen, you must report it immediately to Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) so that they may issue you a new one. You may contact them at (780) 427-1432. If you have impaired hearing, you may access their Teletype line at (780) 427-9999.
